[aplusdev] Editing a text trace

Hello,

In the tutorial /usr/local/aplus-fsf-4.18/doc/tutorials/graphs/graph_tutorial,
Section 5g, it is said that in order to edit a text trace one has to move the
pointer onto the text, hold down the Meta key (ALT in my case) and press the
middle mouse button. I followed the instructions but it didn't work. Can anyone
tell me what the problem might be?

I use RedHat7.2, Suse7.3, A+ 4.18-5. I have a Logitech mouse(Standard
mouse(PS/2)+emulate 3 button mouse) with scroll which I use for copy-paste
purposes. I tried to change the configuration of my mouse to 1) Standard 3 button
mouse 2)Standard 3 button mouse + emulate 3 button mouse but the result was the
same.

One of my computers runs XWIN32 server on Win2000 and I can run Xemacs+A+
sessions. Here, I **CAN** get an edit filed where I can make changes to the text
in a text trace. Although, I faced another problem. I can't save the results! In
the tutorial, it is said "press the Return key"(I guess it is Enter key). That's
what I do but the result is that the cursor simply jumps to the next line. The
same is true for ALT-Return and lot's of other key combinations. ESC closes the
edit field without saving the results.

What am I doing wrong?

Best regards,
Vlad
