Why? What is your problem in particular? Please, check your BIOS setting if
CD is mentioned as a bootable device.

It does not matter. Because of operating system (Linux this case) must start
on boot from CD directly and it doesn't care what OS do you have on your
hard disk. Again, whrn you put CD in your drive and reboot the machine -
WHAT
HAPPENS?
