not a day goes by without one.  

performance is acceptable, but nowhere near that of the native k
gui or A+.  swing and ipc are each sluggish compared with k.

k4 should be fast enough (and have the right datastructures) to
implement a gui engine from the ground up.  no java, no c++; just
pure k.  

we have no plans to follow this path, but if there were world 
enough and time ...
